Principal's Message

Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s),

Greetings and welcome to the school website for Alhambra Primary School! This new school year begins with a continued focus on excellence and an educational program promoting student achievement.  Alhambra is one of two primary schools in the Highland School District.  Our school has approximately 118 students in grades pre-kindergarten through second grade.

My name is Mrs. Tolbert and I am very excited to be part of the Alhambra Leopard family!  In my prior experience, I have taught sixth grade for thirteen years in the same district.

The staff’s commitment to excellence is one of the reasons why Alhambra Primary enjoys such a great reputation. We continue to rely on parent volunteers to assist us in varied tasks relating to classroom support, monitoring students before school and organizing classroom parties/socials. The Centers PTO plays an integral role in creating a school community by developing and organizing events in order to help defray the cost of field trips, school assemblies, technology, and other materials that will benefit the students.  If you are interested in volunteering --- we can find a way to make it work with your schedule and talents!

Finally, it is the students who make Alhambra Primary an outstanding school. Peace Builders, Mini Marathon, After School Camps and other groups, under the coordination of the faculty and classroom teachers will continue to have a positive impact on creating an enriching school environment.

Thank you for visiting our website.  Alhambra Primary’s site is accessible through the Highland Community School District’s website.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Tolbert

Principal
