Welcome to Alhambra Pre-K. My name is Lauren Eilers and I'm thrilled to be teaching Pre-K at AlhambraPrimary. I have five years of previous teaching experience in Pre-Kindergarten and First Grade in Sherman, Illinois, a small suburb of Springfield. I have also taught Early Childhood Special Education in Freeburg. My husband and I live in St. Jacob with our three young children and crazy dog, Roxie. As a family we enjoy spending time "cruising" on our golf cart and playing card games together. I am looking forward to a great year in Pre-K! This program is
funded from a state grant and is based on learning through play. No latch-key services will be provided for Pre-K students at Alhambra Primary. Parents are responsible for providing transportation to and from school daily. We meet Monday through
Friday from 8:30 to 3:10 in the Alhambra Primary Building. Our class is full
day and can serve up to twenty children ages three to five. A child must be screened to
qualify for this program and turn five after September 1st.
Screenings are held once a
month. To have your child screened, call Highland primary office at: 618-654-2107 and speak to Mary Korte.
